Project Summary

Smeaton

3.99

The first time we visited this project (just after an overnight snowfall of over 15 inches) to see if it was a fit for a restored forest, we were greeted by a Great Grey Owl. It was the perfect omen for our first project in Saskatchewan. We purchased the land in early 2017 and the ink wasn't even dry on the paperwork before we began planning for the planting and ordering tree seedlings. With lots of adventures (e.g. stuck equipment) and the help of new friends and neighbours, we've managed to plant over 150,000 trees! We'll be back planting more trees, including a few deciduous species, in Spring 2018. Hopefully that Great Grey Owl is there to say hello again.
